The league is always in need of more parent or young adult volunteers to step forward as coaches.  If you are interested in coaching, or have coached previously and would like to do so again in 2019, please contact Kathryn Kubiak-Rizzone at  .

For the following divisions, the BSL will be participating in the Monroe United Recreational Soccer League (MURSL).  The MURSL season would start after Memorial Day and would run through the end of July.  Because the teams in MURSL are from throughout Monroe County, 50% of the games would be played in Brighton, and the remaining games would be played outside Brighton.  The season consists of a 12 game schedule.

PLEASE NOTE:  If your child is playing for a travel team, they will not be eligible for play in  MURSL as the league is created for recreational players only.

If your child is interested in playing in one of the U16 – U19 divisions, please register your child, but do not complete the payment process at the current time.  Once it is determined that we have enough players registered for a certain Division, the BSL will contact you to complete the payment process.

We anticipate most, if not all, sessions scheduled by the league will be held at Buckland Park.  However, for the U13, U16 and U19 teams that may be participating in MURSL, games against non-Brighton teams will be held at their fields, and even home games may need to be scheduled at a different Brighton field based on availability.

If you have questions regarding the 2019 registration procedures or general questions about the Brighton Soccer League, please contact Mike Tullio at  , or a league representative at

If you have not played in prior years and do not believe you are registered with the League, please go to brightonsoccer.com and enter your contact information by using the “Join our email list” option found on the dropdown menu on the left side of the site.

Mandatory Risk Management Passes for Coaches and Officials
The Brighton Soccer League (BSL) is a long-standing member of the NYS West Youth Soccer Association (NYSWYSA) which provides guidance and structure for numerous youth soccer programs throughout upstate NY. The US Youth Soccer organization issued a new Risk Management Policy & Directive in August 2018 that has been adopted by NYSWYSA.  The Brighton Soccer League Board believes that adopting this new directive is in the best interest of our league and its participants.  Therefore, anyone having routine and repeated contact with BSL participants as a coach (head or assistant), referee or club administrator, will need to have a Risk Management pass issued by NYSWYSA in order to hold one of the previously stated roles in BSL.

For more information on the risk management process click here. If you plan to coach or serve in another capacity for BSL, please contact   to request a prepaid code to cover the $25 background processing fee.  Once the code is sent to you, you can begin the risk management registration process.

If you have any questions, please contact Mike Tullio at   or  .
